Odd Language Behavior - No English

Our webstore is experiencing odd language / translation behavior that could be very bad.  English, at times, does not seem to be a selectable language?

English is our default language for our webstore.  I noticed today that instead of saying "English (U.S.)" by default it says the next available language, Greek in this case.

The page is displayed in English, this is not a problem.  But when I select another language I CANNOT CHANGE BACK TO ENGLISH.  Uh oh!  I will have some very confused customers if they play around with the translation selection and are stuck in a foreign language.
