Website redirects not working well...

Hello everyone,

I am trying to redirect some sub categories to other sub categories, but that doesn't work unless the category had a ULR component (although the manual doesn't state that), so I thought no harm in setting up URL components for these categories, and I did, then I sat the redirects, and everything worked  great, but...
I found out that the categories tree (not sure what it's called) in the left navigation bar didn't get updated with the new URL components, so they're not redirecting the visitor to the category I want them to go to.
