Update Meta Tag HTML for all Inventory Items

I'm trying to find a way to edit en-mass the meta-tag html for our items.

Firstly the scenario
All our items are Matrix items (T-shirts) with variations (size, colour,style) catered for by their children.

What I want to do
Find a way to change all their meta-tag html (keywords and descriptions) using variables garnered from their Store tab fields. Be able to do this with ease time and again.

Why I want to do this
Whilst we're generally in the top 5 for most of our core keywords:
john lennon t-shirts
frank zappa t-shirts
debbie harry t-shirts
etc.
