Results limited at 48

Why are the results per page limited at 48?

I want all of our artists to be displayed on this page... limiting results at 48 seems arbitrary, not to mention lazy on the part of netsuite. The most outrageous part is that Netsuite doesn't allow you to customize the look/feel of the pagination display.  If you're going to force me to use it, at least let me customize it a little.

Many reputable websites give the option of 60 results/page... Nordstrom.com gives the option of 99/page!

Why can't I? I should be able to display 200/page if I think it's the best way for users to view the site.
