Conversion rates Hits/Orders ratio?

I have two Netsuite sites. Over the last quarter we have vastly different conversion rates.

One site has 148 hits per order and this is fairly consistent. The other site gets 263 hits per order. I am at a loss to know why the rates are so different.

Which of these two is most typical?
