Site Category Search or Report for Merchant Help

Has anyone successfully come up with a way to create a report that a merchant can use to view an item and ALL the Site Category(s) that it is currently assigned to? Seems as though this is marked for enhancement but no ETA.

I've tried reports and saved searches but can't seem to find the correct combination of field layouts, etc to make this happen. Ideally the report or search would list each item and a separate record/line for each category it's listed in.

I'm guessing the Site Category (assigned at the store tab level of the item inventory form) is generated from the Web Site Categories we've set up but I don't know where they live in the database to pull the data.
