New Gift Certificate Notification

Hi,

I may be ask this before but I didn't find the thread (and may be not - actually I don't remember) - so sorry if this is a duplicated thread.

Is there anyway to send a notification when new gift certificate created (sold). I tried saved searches alerts, scripts and workflow but nothing worked with me, do u have any idea?
