Publishing searches to internal tab

I have created an internal tab for our sales reps and cannot figure out how to put the searches, employee directory etc information on it.  I am not sure how to make this tab published or if that is even what I need to do since its only an internal tab. The tab is up and now all I need is to know how to enter the information on it.

Anyone know what I am missing here?
