Giveaway item - limited Quantity

We have a promotion - giving away item x for free - I know how to set that up in marketing campaigns and with promo codes to subtract the cost.

BUT the questions is ... I only have 75 of this item to giveaway free. How can I put a cap on how many are given away. This item is a regular inventory item in our system so I don't want to set up a different item record.

Any suggestions?
