Setting Password as Optional In Webstore

Hey guys. I have a question about setting password as optional in webstore.
As you may know from previous posts, I've been trying to customize the webstore registration process using Custom Forms. We are now also thinking about setting password as optional in webstore registration.

When I tried it out without any scripts/customization, when set to optional, password fields appears under different heading. When passwords are not filled out, they become customers in the backend. This is AS expected.

One thing I saw was that even without password, once they register, they are LOGGED IN. Is there way to emulate this through Script?
