Excluding Items From Showing Shipping

in Web Site / E-Commerce

We are testing our stores built in shipping calculator atm and I was wondering if there was a way to make some items not calculate shipping. Ideally when you add it to cart it would have the price and then a message saying "actual cost to be determined at the time of shipment or if its grouped with other products then exclude it from the calculation with a note that says something about how there are special items in the cart that require us to calculate shipping, please call.
