How to use https:// on main site (before entering checkout)

Is there a way to allow users to use https:// when they are on our NetSuite web pages BEFORE they get to the shopping cart?  We’ve linked to several of our website pages from our Facebook page.  It seems like for people that have their Facebook accounts set to always use https://, that when they link to our site (even though we specify http:// in the href) that they are linked with https://.  This causes the user to get a “Page can not be found” because you can’t currently link to our main site using https://.

We are trying to fix this from both ends:
