Mass Update Site Category Upsell Items List Layout

On every category I have in my store the upsell list layout has been set to a template I don't want it to use. Is there any way I can update all the categories in my store to use the one I want without having to go to each individual site category page and changing the template? I tried to change it in the theme and the setup website area but it didn't seem to override what was on the site category page.
