Display items for subcategories in parent category

Hi,

we would display items for subcategories in parent category, is that possible?

as example: we have category X that contains subcategories A & B
we would create layout for category X that will include items in categories A & B by displaying subcategory A display name and thumbnail, and its items under it, then displaying the same for subcategory B
