Don't wanna display all tabs on the top

I don't want to put all tabs on the top in the template, but can use url to go to that tab directly. if I tried to select "not display on the website" check box of the tab, but I cannot use url to go to that tab either. Is there any way I can use URL go to the tab and that tab doesn't display on the website?
