Reference Cart - SSP - 3D secure

I've been trying to make the reference cart live but it kept falling over with errors.

I arranged a wbex with support yesterday and it turns out that 3D secure is not support but don't worry there is an enhancement request in :rolleyes:

In the meantime support gave me this link:

Has anyone implemented this? I have a bit of a development background but the instructions are not overly clear.
