getAttribute not working on presentation tab

I want to put some item info in the Message section of a presentation tab so I tried using the following code:

<a href="<%=getAttribute('item',9047,'storeurl')%>">Item Name</a>

This works fine on a hosted page, but when used on a presentation tab I get the following error:

Error processing dynamic tag getAttribute('item',9047,'storeurl') : record assembly 9047 not found]

Any help appreciated!
