Developers: Request to modify Shipping Calculator Procedure

To any 3rd Party NS Developers,

We would like to modify the behavior of one of our shipping items in our Netsuite account.

We would like to add a field to ignore the "Ships Individually" field when checked in the shipping item profile.

Netsuite in their Great Wisdom created FedEx Real-Time Rates for FedEx Freight but they don't understand that once it ships via Freight all the items are put on a pallet therefore the Ships Individually field should be ignored and all the weights added.

Is there a way to create a script or anything to modify this behavior and when this specific shipping method is selected to ignore the Ships Individually field?
