Distinguish disabled fields in Internet Explorer

We are using Internet Explorer version 11 and noticed that disabled fields do not appear "grayed" like Chrome or Firefox. Essentially, there is no way for our users to easily figure out which fields are uneditable. Is there a way to fix this?!
