Change Ship Method with code in Reference Cart 2.02

Hi there,

I am using Reference Checkout 2.02. We have it all deployed except the cart, which I am working on now.

In the reference cart, I would like to be able to change (with code) the shipmethod being used. This will allow the system to choose the right shipping method if the customer selects canada in the shipping estimator dropdown while they are in the cart. We want this whole process to be automated. Is this possible?
