Kit/Package Item Doesn't Show in Categories

I've just created a Kit/Package item which I've made available on the website, but it doesn't show up in either of the categories to which I've assigned it.  If I type in the URL manually, it does show up correctly, it's just not listed anywhere on the site for people to find it.  Anyone have any idea why this would happen?
