Google Tag Manager (GTM) with SiteBuilder and Reference Checkout

Has anyone set up Google Tag Manager (GTM) with SiteBuilder and Reference Checkout?

We tried it and our Cart and Checkout went down. Our developer advised us why: "because SCA (Reference Applications use one JS Library called “underscore” or “ _ and the problem is, one of the libraries that GTM uses overwrites the source of underscore so the entire Checkout gets broken"

Anyone have any ideas on how to make it work properly?
