Can we do a average of quantity sold in a KPI meter

Can we do a average of quantity sold in a KPI meter.By this i mean if I have a saved search showing me new sales numbers and the kpi shows me the total new orders received can I create a kpi meter to show me average of two days or three days and so on?

Please help....
