Create Shortcut to a specific file or folder

I've been trying to setup a shortcut on the Dashboard that will send me directly to a specific folder in the Filing Cabinet but I can only get it to send me to the Filing Cabinet not the folder itself. It looks like the URL is the same for both so if anyone knows if there is a work around for this or not, please let me know! Thanks!
