Lock Report Snapshot in Collapsed View

I currently have a bookings report that is grouped by GEO, and created a snapshot that contained two fields GEO and amount.  When I add the snapshot to my dashboard it appears to be expanding the detail by order.  I would like to fix the dashboard so that a user wouldn't see the expanded view on the dashboard (only the by GEO amount) , but could access it if they drill into the report. 

Is it possible to lock a report snapshot so that when it is added to the dashboard users will only see the collapsed view of report?

I know this could likely be created using a saved search, but would like to utilize reports due to format/layouts.
