no longer get bounce backs from bad email addresses

We used to get bounce back emails from bad addresses when we checked our email for the address used as the return address for customer communications in netsuite.  But we not longer get them.

I just did a test and I sent an email to a bogus email address from  our email address that is used in netsuite., I instantly got a bounce back,

but when netsuite sends an email for us showing that same email as the return address, we do not get bounce backs telling us of bad emails

why....
