Advanced Partner Center not ready for prime time

edited Nov 22, 2019 10:30AM in CRM 1 comment

I am amazed that this does not have its own category. Perhaps I'm misguided in what I think a "partner" is, but judging from my recent venture with the Advanced Partner Center, it is certainly not what I would expect.

1. APC is simply a "role" that dumbs down the internal CRM/Order Management stuff in NetSuite.

2. A "Partner" by way of how APC is implemented is simply another sales person albeit not an internal one. A "partner" is NOT a reseller, distributor, integrator, or any of the "normal" partners companies have.

3. Ironically, the APC DOES offer CRM for managing opportunities, leads, etc. However, this in my experience, is the features LEAST cared about by partners. They have their own system for managing CRM activities and want only the ability to be able to get and pass leads and opportunities, not manage them. For the most part, these features are essentially useless.

Howdy, Stranger!
