exclude campaign

I am looking at starting some email campaigns where i send a promotional code to leadsa that visited certain areas of my website over say the past month.

The thing is I will be sending it based on say two sections but what i do not want to do is send the same person two emails.

So what would be the exact search criteria to exclude a campaign?
