Is there a quick way to search cases?

Our support reps are asking for a quick way to search all the cases in the system.

Right now they have to modify a custom search.  Is there a way the search could have a input box prompting for the text in the message body to search for?

Or is there just a better way that we are not aware of?

What are you doing to search cases (not solutions)?

Any advice / guidance most appreciated!
