Permission Violation: this contact does not belong to your group

edited Nov 22, 2019 10:30AM in CRM 5 comments

I'm having a very strange problem.
One of our sales reps told me that she got this error when trying to access a certain contact: "Permission Violation: this contact does not belong to your group"
The strange thing is that this contact is linked to a customer that is assigned to her.  I do have the reps set up in groups, but I don't see anywhere to have a group permission for a contact only, and as I said before, the customer is properly assigned to this particular rep.
Even stranger, the rep can view other contacts for this same customer.  The only difference I see when I log in with her account is that the problematic contact has the customer that it is linked to listed in bold in the list view & the nonproblematic contacts have the customer listed, but grayed out.

Howdy, Stranger!
