Opportunity contact - report vs saved search

I'm trying to get the contact name associated with an opportunity to show up in a saved search but can't get anything to show up.  When using report builder, I have no problem.  I simply go to the contact folder and select name and in my report, I see the contact name.  When I choose Contact : Name in the saved search I get no contact name when I submit my search.  Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
