Idiot Proofing Promotions
We are just now starting to experiment on the business side with Free Shipping. We are only giving Free Shipping on certain items. Furthermore, a big part of our advertising strategy is utilizing Google Shopping, and having it display in Google Shopping that this individual item comes with "Free Shipping".
I have created an item based promotion in Netsuite to give free shipping to certain items. In testing however, it seems that the customer has to put the promo code in to get the free shipping. I am trying to figure out a way to force the promo code. I am trying to avoid idiot customers calling up and saying we ripped them off on shipping when they didn't get their free shipping.
