When a Quote Expands to the BOM Level, it Includes Obsolete Items

NetSuite assemblies support obsolete/effective dates in the BOM.  In our industry, quotes are the precursor to a sale.  It is important enough that the ability to print a quote which contains an exploded BOM was a contingency for our move to NetSuite.

However, we have found that NetSuite does not correctly process BOMs (confirmed by NetSuite support, case #2933498).  See the attachment for an example.

Does anyone have a work-around?
