What is the best way to communicate in NetSuite with other users

What is the best way to communicate in NetSuite with other users so that they get notifications / private messages that are no emails. They would I assume still have an inbox. Basically the same as you would with Shopify. Perhaps even someday connect with Gmail so the message goes to both private email either the users personal email or their company email. This is a coordinated effort to make sure that certain personal notes regarding things like payroll or other employees doesn't get seen by the wrong people. Right now we are using a single gmail accounts for sales
