Defect 154784 - VAT Periods Change Erroneously
If you use NetSuite's VAT reports I urge you to investigate this urgently.
If your tax period is closed and you edit a transaction. Then the tax period will change to the current period.
This basically means that you cannot edit transactions once tax periods are closed.
Or it means all your VAT reports are unreliable.
This is something that has got worse for us since 2008 upgrade because we were have been taking advantage of the 'Allow Non GL' changes feature.
How silly of us to take advantage of a new feature without carrying out a full compliance / consistency test first !
