VAT exception report...WTF?
So, you make a VAT quarter submission - despite the difficulties of Netsuite not allowing you to do this easily - and then you get a late bill, which needs to be input into a month from the quarter you have just submitted.
As soon as you do - the VAT 100 for that quarter is affected and is now not the same as the one you submitted to the HMRC.
When we used quickbooks, there was an exception report that dealt with these issues. i.e. you could quickly see which entries had not been included in the previous quarter submission - and thus include them in the next quarter. Simple.
