Trial Balance - not tying into A/R Sub-ledger?

One of my users asked me to check this out. I'm not an accounting person so apologies if I sound bizaar.

My user ran a Trial Balance and assumed the A/R sub-ledger numbers were tied in to the Trial Balance report.

Is this a function of NetSuite that all the sub-ledgers tie into the Trial Balance and the Balance Sheet automatically or have we missed something?
