Bundle Storage / Archive?

I'm wondering how it might be possible to create bundles and store them for future use. 
One business case might be- A company, going through a transition, might want to export all customizations and data so that those can then be incorporated/installed in a new instance of NetSuite with a NEW, not yet known, account number.  As well, there may be some time (months) between the dissolution of the current company/account and the future incarnation of the new company.
This transition may include a company name change as well but, the underlying business model and business function will be the same.
