Suppress Header/Table Rows

I am modifying a financial report layout. I have a section for which I only want the accounts to appear, so I unchecked the "Display Row" box for the Header and Total labels.  The problem is that a blank row appears where the Header/Total would otherwise be visible.  Is there any way to suppress these blank rows?
