Balance sheet detail

So frustrated!!  I'm trying to look at the Balance Sheet Detail for a few accounts because we made multiple entries through the year that I want to make sure are correct which I can do by being able to see the memo line.  HOWEVER, when I customize the detail it leaves the MEMO line blank although when I click on each Journal entry it shows the memo in the memo section.  Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong so that I don't have to click into over 200 entries tomorrow....
