India Statutory Reporting

I have a requirement to provide statutory financial reports for our subsidiary in India.   Since NS financial reports provided are limited in how I can group accounts etc, I was wondering if anyone has done something within NS to build reports for India statutory requirements.

Since there are very unique account groupings, I am thinking of adding some attributes to COA. 

I hate to recreate the wheel so I am hoping some else has solved the problem.
