Custom Sales Tax Transaction Detail

First of all I am still in the installation phase - sorry if this is a really obvious
In version 10 I had a report that could filter out cash transactions based on Locations (I have a js that copies the Location to the memo transaction field) that displayed sales and tax info - now the report doesn't filter correctly anymore.
The closest I can come to that report is the Custom Sales Tax Transaction Detail - provides the sales and tax info and also displays the memo field. Now, when I go to the filter section I don't see the memo field to filter on, I also don't see the Location field.
