Sales By Item Summary - Slow?

Ever since V11 - we've noticed that sales by item summary runs really slow - even when filtering on one item or one manufacturer for 6 month timeframes.

It actually always times out - so we have to always select "alert me when ready" on the loading/running screen.

Then, maybe 15 minutes later it finishes.

This report used to run in maybe 30 seconds....

Anyone else experience this?  Any way to speed it up?
