How do I set up a Dynamic Report Prompt?

How do I set a field prompt for a user defined value to be entered upon report execution? Doesn't look as if NetSuite does this. I have a custom field on all of my sales transactions and I want to allow end-user to dynamically enter the custom field value to report (the custom field happens to represent a customer#). The best I can come up with so far is to hardcode the custom field value within the search criteria or the report filter but this is extremely cumbersome as the search / report would have to be modified & saved
