Customize Report - Cash Basis broken on Mac

The checkbox for cash basis appears, somethimes, in report customization page but is always ignored with Mac for bot safari and FireFox browsers.  I saw a post a couple of months ago on this but can't find it now.  The report just silently igores the checkbox.
