Capturing lead information
I am trying to create an online form that Customers and/or leads can fill out. Obviously if there is a duplicate, the customer is updated. Otherwise a lead is generated.
The form needs to capture some standard information (name, email, etc...) and some custom data. Then I need to have an entry made in their activities, but am at a total loss how to do this.
Example Scenario:
John doe browses to site, goes to fill out contact form to request a catalogue (from a custom list). An John Doe lead is generated and a Task created to send the catalogue out.
