Fulfillment Email, Tracking URL does not match Shipping Method

It seems that the fulfillment email only shows the link to track it when it's shipped via UPS.

We use more than one shipping method, including US Postal Service and Truck Services.

Is there a way to include in the fulfillment email underneath the tracking number, the description of the shipping item?

For example, we have the following shipping method (Lists > Accounting > Shipping Items):

Internal ID  8523 
Name  FREIGHT: Con-way  
Description  CON-WAY (www.con-way.com)

We would like to include in the fulfillment email the tag for the description, so when the tracking numbers are included, even though there is no link at least it will show like this:

Howdy, Stranger!
