Embedding a Google Map into a Email Template

Hi,

I have an email template which has a google map embedded into it, if I view the template file on netsuite it shows the map, however after I merge the template with a custom record the map does not show on the email.

Is it usual for netsuite to remove the map links for some reason? has anyone else used google maps in an email template successfully?
