Mass Update of Prices

Problem NS: I am purchasing in Foreign Currency, adding a new product group, have a script running to show "AVG Cost" as NS shows nothing until items have been purchased. I then am able to see the cost in AUD on the main screen as NS does the conversion using the current exchange rate.

What I cannot determine is how to "Mass Update" the prices as I would need to base this on NS's "AVG Cost"......which of course is non-existent as I have only just added the product range.

Other than the obvious workaround (which we have been doing now for some years) which is the "old manual edit" method how else can we do this?
