How to default Transaction Locations?

We plan on using the location required option as well as auto numbering each transaction with a prefix and location. I'd like the location code to auto default to a specific location whenever a form requiring location is displayed. The user should have the option of selecting an alternate location if desired so the user is not restricted to 1 location code.
How do I do this in NetSuite? Thanks.
